When a client is talking about a report:
QuickBooks/Accounting
- Board meeting
- Accounts/Classes
- Expenses
- Budget
- Programming
- P&L, Profit and Loss, Statement of Activity – year, month
- Balance Sheet, BS, Statement of Financial Position
- Financials
- Financial Packet
Database
- Donors
- Donations
- Sponsorships
- Lapsed donors
- Recurring donors
- Dashboard
When you are looking at a report:
QBO
- The file name will be labeled P&L, BS, Financials, QBO, etc.
- The spreadsheet will be titled
- Sales Receipt (means donation)
- “Account” will have data like 4010 Direct Support
Database
- Rows of data that include a donor account number, name, and gift amount/date
- Graphs
- “Account” field will have data like “56848742”
“Reconciliation” refers to reports from both systems.
