JOB TITLE: Communications Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
SCOPE OF POSITION: The communications coordinator role is a part-time contractor position within the Accordus team. This team member fills critical functions for Accordus clients by managing the production of digital communication material including emails.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related marketing materials via email marketing.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build customer loyalty programs, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare detailed media activity reports I.e. open/click rates and reporting.
- Learn and implement client preferences/colors/branding according to Accordus best-practice but also tailored to client needs and differentiate between clients Accordus manages (I.e. don’t make every email/design look the same for every client – just in case a donor supports more than one of our clients)
- Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all digital marketing (email) materials.
- Work with different departments to generate new ideas and strategies.
- Supervise projects to guarantee all content is publication-ready.
- Create communication and marketing strategies for new products, launches, events, and promotions.
- Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner.
- Work with client-systems
- Import and export client data such as contact lists for segmenting and taggingÂ
QUALIFICATIONS:
All applicants must have:
- Ability to manage other team members,
- Strong time management and organizational skills,
- Ability to work independently,
- Be detail-oriented to ensure quality assurance is completed for all outgoing client emails
- Technical editing skills
- Willing and able to give feedback to design team to ensure no errors are present in all client-facing materials/emails
- Ability to manage many tasks and projects simultaneously.
Experience with communications applications such as MailChimp and Constant Contact preferred.
