When our clients need a video embedded on their site and they don’t use their own YouTube account, we always want to upload it to the Accordus (Engage) Vimeo account unless the client has their own Vimeo login.
To get access to this account, you’ll need to request access via the [email protected] inbox. Once you have uploaded the video, we will remove your Vimeo access. Pro-tip: Use an incognito window to login to this account so you don’t accidentally stay logged in for other work-related screen shares.
Steps to Uploading Vimeo Videos:
- Ensure the video file is the most current version with the end/beginning trimmed if necessary.
- Upload the video by dragging and dropping to the upload video window.
- Check the player settings
- Change the title of the video to a relevant title like “ACCORDUS | Instructions” with a call to action or URL in the description
- Be sure the privacy is “UNLISTED” for all videos in this account
- Change the player appearance to remove the title, tagline, Vimeo logo, etc so that the video screen is clean and free of the share button/save for later/etc.
- Change the end screen to “EMPTY” **This step is super important to ensure no other client videos will auto-play at the end of the current video.
- Click save to save these settings for this video
- Click the “copy” link button in the top righthand corner to send the public video link to the client or other team member.
