Our clients will often request to send out either:
A. a cold lead campaign
B. a “personal-type” email that looks as if it came from the sender’s inbox directly.
A. Cold Lead Campaigns accomplish one goal: reach new potential leads (or customers/donors). Cold leads are people who have never heard from your client and are not familiar with what they do. This could also be called a drip campaign, but for this purpose, we refer to it as a cold lead campaign.
Typically clients send 4-5 emails starting from “cold” calling to warm, warmer, hot, etc. This means the potential for the recipient to give or become a customer moves from cold (not interested/unknown) to warm or hot (will donate definitely!).
We do not recommend using Mailchimp or ConstantContact for these cold lead purposes. A client could also want to send a drip campaign which is just a series of emails sent over a period of time to people they already have on their email list.
This is the recommended platform our company works with:
- Klenty – easiest to use or set up for us and the client; $50/month per account with a 3 month commitment
We can also purchase lists for our clients if they want a large volume of leads, starting at $500 for 2,500 contacts. Our team can also do a small data pull of 50-100 local contacts, as well. If this is requested for us to purchase a large list, reach out to Blaine – lead communications coordinator.
The client will be responsible for all related costs for both purchasing lists and for purchasing Klenty.
B. Some of our clients prefer to send emails once a month or once a quarter that looks like it came from the sender’s inbox and not a mass marketing platform like Mailchimp. Again, we prefer to use Klenty for this purpose.
