Updating Passwords in Keeper

Please note, we never want to email usernames or passwords. Rather, we want to use Keeper for all password management.

 

Often we need to update existing passwords found in Keeper. When you don’t have access to update the actual record, we still want you to use Keeper.

 

Here is how we want to use Keeper to maintain client password security.

  • Use the ‘Save New Passwords Here’ folder to create a new record with all the information required (client name, system, etc.) Find the AccordusU article here with more information.
  • In the notes section you can mention that the original password needs updating.
  • You can also email [email protected] to let them know a new password has been added but needs updating on another record.
  • If a system prompts you to update a password, you can also save the new password in that folder with a note.
  • If a system requires you to update the password, but you need the old password, please email [email protected] to let them know you need the password updated.
