Our nonprofit clients are required to send a year-end statement to their donors that includes the total amount they gave to the organization the previous calendar year. This must be sent out by January 31 of each year.
Besides being an IRS requirement, this giving summary is a great opportunity for our clients to get in front of their donors as the new calendar year is starting to continue to build relationships while providing value (donors utilize these statements when filing their taxes).
This is a BIG project as we issue year-end statements for most of our clients and it involves work from five departments (TLs, Database, Writers, Accounting, Communications).
